Before your session:

Included in your portrait session fee is a personal pre-consultation. This can take place in person or on the phone.

So to start with, I really want to hear from you about what kind of session you’re looking for … your ideas and expectations for your session and your vision for the final product. This will be super helpful for me in planning your shoot.

We’ll talk about location. I’m available to photograph in many different locations and deciding where to do your session is one of the things we’ll chat about. My photographic style is to provide you with a completely natural setting. Because of that all sessions are done outdoors (with a few exceptions). If you have a location in mind please let me know. This will allow me to look at the area ahead of time. While some locations are super beautiful, they’re not always ideal for portraits.

We’ll also talk about what to bring, what to wear, how to prepare for your session, and what to expect at the shoot itself. And of course I’ll answer any questions that you have!

The Session:

Sessions can last anywhere from 1 to 2 hours. I want to keep things relaxed and fun and sometimes, especially if kiddos are involved, it takes a little bit of time to warm up to that big clunky thing in my hand. What’s important to me is that we take the time we need to get incredible images of you and your loves. (And I’m really good at taking chocolate peanut butter malt ball breaks as needed).

After the Session:

And here's the super fun part! About 14 days after your session we’ll get together with a luscious chocolate cake or some other delicacy, and you’ll be able to view your beautiful, individually retouched photos!
